KARA to become the first K-Pop girl group to hold a concert at the Tokyo Dome

KARA has been named the first ever Korean female artists to hold a concert at the prestigious Tokyo Dome in Japan!

On October 8th, the girls announced officials news of their upcoming concert during their ‘2012 Sigma Festival in Okinawa‘ performance. Currently scheduled to be held on January 6th, the concert will indeed take place at the Tokyo Dome.

This feat was achieved in less than three years since the girls began their advancement into the Japanese market, making them the first Korean girl group to do so. The dome seats 50,000 people and is largely considered the stage of dreams to numerous Japanese artists.
The only Korean artists that have held concerts there to date include TVXQ, Rain, and Big Bang – all male artists. KARA will now be able to proudly join the ranks of other top Japanese artists.

As the girls had no problem hitching their six city ‘KARASIA‘ tour off to much success, they’re expected to have no trouble filling up the seats of Tokyo Dome next year.
In related news, the girls are currently in Japan promoting ‘Electric Boy‘ after completing promotions for their Korean comeback, ‘Pandora’.

The single will come in three different types (A, B, C) and they’re also scheduled to release a DVD/Blu-ray of their arena tour “KARA 1st JAPAN TOUR 2012 KARASIA” on the same day of “Electric Boy”.
